One night in 2010 I woke up with an idea to use my talent to make a difference for some very deserving animals.
I had recently done a pet portrait (which I love doing) for a lady who had rescued a dog. She made me aware of a very special nonprofit organization called Lucky Pup Rescue. They basically save dogs that are in line to be destroyed and provide them with foster homes until they find their “forever homes”. A lot of these dogs have such sad stories as well as enormous vet bills.
So “The Pet Project” was born. I decided to paint (25) 12”x12” pet portraits to help raise awareness and some much needed funds for this worthy cause. All of the paintings are available for a $150 donation. All of the dogs in this show are Lucky Pup Rescue dogs. The paintings will come with a displayable printout of that particular dog’s story.
There has been so much support for this upcoming art show in November that many of the paintings are already sold!
It feels so good to do something truly special with my talent. Please come if you can!
